It’s a new year and clients who have rocked lots of fun layers for years are looking for a change. It’s time to grow those layers out! Blunt cuts are in, but not the way you’re used to seeing them.
Blunt cuts trending right now are more versatile than ever
before. You could go for a short bob (just below the ears) or long hair down
your back, or anywhere in between! Rock yours with a heavy fringe or part it
down the middle for a retro look.
Here are some more style tips from our
owners:
1. Avoid the dreaded triangle head (also called a pyramid head) by asking your stylists to add a lot of texture to the bottom – that’s what keeps this look current!
2. If your face is fuller, lighten it up around the front with chunky face-framing – just be sure not to go too crazy or you will be back to the layered shag.
3. For fine or straight hair, go for a slight a-line to create forward flowing movement.
4. To modify curly hair, ask for hard angled layers (versus wispy or round) to keep from getting too heavy at the bottom.
Whatever style you choose, pair it with dimensional color to
